Hey! I'm Kelsey!

When I picked up my first professional camera, I never put it down. I quickly realized I had found something I truly loved, and I’ve been documenting life ever since.

I’m drawn to the beauty of real life ... the messy moments, the belly laughs, the sweet moments of calm and all the little in-betweens you never want to forget. I also am a lover of glowy light and probably will get really excited about it at some point during your session.

I, myself am truly awkward in front of a camera so I know how it feels and it is my main goal to make you feel at ease. It is also extremely important to me to make our time taking photos memorable and fun!

No matter how many weddings or lifestyle session I've photographed, every single one feels so special to me and I feel so grateful to have a career that allows me to capture special moments in people's lives.

When I am not out at a photoshoot, I am neck deep in the toddler/young children stage of life (send all the good vibes my way). I love having pop punk dance parties with my little family, suburban homesteading, and quilting.

My Photography Style

A Little About My Approach

Choosing a photographer who truly fits your style is so important. My approach is documentary-inspired, which means I want to capture your moments as they naturally unfold rather than constantly staging or posing them.

That said, I also know that being in front of a camera can feel a little daunting! I use prompts and gentle direction to help create genuine, organic moments, so you never have to worry about being left wondering what to do. I promise I won't leave you hanging.

And when it comes to family sessions, I'm not above singing, dancing, or busting out the latest Ms. Rachel song if that's what it takes to get a little one smiling. We will absolutely sneak in a few photos looking at the camera, too, because I know those are important. But most of your session will be filled with the candid, in-between moments that feel the most like you.

My Editing Style

My editing style is true-to-color and true-to-life. I want your photographs to feel timeless and hold up beautifully for years to come.

I edit with the goal of making you feel like you can step right back into those moments. The way the light felt, the way your child looked at you, the little details you might have forgotten. Those are the things I want your photos to bring back to life.
